Workspace Directory Overview
In this article, learn about the Workspace Directory's features and capabilities.
The Workspace Directory allows you to show a list of teams, M365 groups, SharePoint sites, and Viva Engage communities across your organization.
One of the main hurdles of adoption in Microsoft 365 is users not knowing what types of teams, sites, and communities exist in an organization. The Workspace Directory solves this issue by allowing users to see all of that in a central location.

Workspace Directory Features
Workspace Listing
Customizable listing of workspaces including a list and tile views. Administrators are able to configure which sites appear to users and which columns are available:

Workspace Search
Users can quickly and easily search for a workspace using the search button. Users can get instant access to any team or SharePoint site that is displayed.

User Favorites
Users can easily 'favorite' their workspaces for quick access. All saved favorites are unique to the user.

Filtering
Users can filter through workspaces quickly and easily. Administrators may define which custom filters from the Workspace Metadata to be used as a filter:

Sorting
Users can easily sort on any column that is available in the directory.

List and Layout Views
Users can swap between list and card view in the directory.

Custom Metadata
Any metadata that is used as part of a workspace request process can also be viewed in Orchestry and added a column or as a filter:

Members, Owners and Visitors
Users can quickly see the members, owners and visitors that are associated with a team, M365 group or SharePoint site:

Administrator Capabilities
Of course, with Orchestry there are a ton of configuration options available to make the Workspace Directory your own.
Synchronizing Items
Although Orchestry automatically synchronizes new M365 groups, SharePoint sites and teams, you can also do this process manually if needed. Easily update the team or SharePoint site information such as name, description, privacy and type.

Editing Metadata
If metadata for an already existing team or site needs to be changed, the Workspace Directory allows for an easy update.

Add Existing Teams or Sites
One of the most powerful capabilities of the Workspace Directory is the ability to add existing or non-Orchestry created teams, sites and groups to the directory. Simply click on the 'Add Existing Team or Site' button, choose the appropriate asset, and show it in the directory.
