As we close out the year we are releasing some great new functionality around Naming Policies, Metadata and general stability fixes.
Bug Fixes
- The User Access Insight no longer breaks when you try to sort on users
- The Renewed Workspaces Insight now shows the correct dates for the upcoming renewals
- If a Workspace request had a # character in the name the Workspace duplication validation would fail
- Free text filtering is now working for the Workspace Directory
- In some cases, a naming policy is not applied if clicking too fast through the Workspace Request Wizard
- Workspaces whose URL's are longer than 62 characters no longer break Orchestry
Improvements
- OneNote provisioning is much improved for all use cases
- Alternate character sets in user names are now rendered correctly
- Insight report data processing has had many improvements to help with speed and stability
New Features
This month is all about Naming Policies! We have a ton of new capabilities including:
Template Specific Metadata
You can now show a subset of metadata as part of a Workspace template. This helps you ensure that users only fill in the metadata that is necessary.
Orchestry Metadata in Naming Policies
One of our most requested features in Orchestry has been the ability to use Metadata in a Naming Policy. This is now available and will allow you to control the naming of your Workspaces based directly on the values that users choose in the request form.

Naming Policy Counters
There are many occasions where you want to track a unique ID or a counter as part of a Workspace naming - for instance, a Project ID.
In Orchestry you can now attach unique counters to your naming policies to automate this process:
