Orchestry Updates for August 2024 | Part 1
These improvements were deployed on August 8th, 2024.
This is the first of several planned releases for the month of August 2024.
NOTE: This update does not require your intervention and does not involve any downtime.
New Features
Multi-Geo Provisioning Support
The first phase of Multi-Geo enabled provisioning is now live!
This new feature allows Multi-Geo enabled customers to create geo-enabled templates, ensuring that the workspaces get created in the proper “data-at-rest locations”.
This does not have any impacts for customers who do not have Multi-Geo capabilities.
Please note that this feature is specifically targeting provisioning, it does not enable Multi-Geo capabilities for Orchestry Lifecycle Management, Guest Management or the Workspace Directory.
Furthermore, current limitations for geo-enabled templates include:
- Live Template not supported
- Orchestry policy application not supported
- Sensitivity label application not supported
- Team Information Tab application not supported
- Workspace Information web part application not supported

Improvements
-
Planner Subtask Sorting: Despite Planner’s sorting method in the back end being “bananas” 🍌, we have added support for preserving the sort of order of subtasks within a parent task.
-
Webhook Failure Admin Notifications: To allow administrators to more quickly respond to issues with webhooks being used in Provisioning and Archivals, we have added an automated email notification to all Orchestry admins if/when one of these webhooks fail.
-
Improved Provisioning Webhook Experience: We have improved the provisioning webhook experience to ensure the “test” functionality is more robust and provides better error logging if the test does not complete successfully.
Bug Fixes
-
Provisioning Issue when Account Missing: Fixed an issue where provisioning requests were not able to successfully complete if the original installation account was deleted.
-
Live Template Cloning OneNote Tabs: Fixed an issue where the reference to a newly provisioned OneNote is still pointing to the Live Template. This will now work for links pointing to the root of the OneNote, and stay tuned for an upcoming fix to allow for links pointing to specific sections and pages of that OneNote.
-
Private Channel Archival Sites: Fixed an issue where Private Channel sites were not being unlocked prior to a second step.
-
Guest Insight Reports: Fixed an issue causing several guest-related insight reports to fail to load.
